CHAPLAINCY AND OUTREACH

I have been ordained as a priest under the jurisdiction of the Society for Independent Christian Ministry.  As such, I offer my services as a minister unreservedly to the community.  I believe that only one per-cent of minsitry should happen in a church and that ninety-nine per-cent should happen outside of it.

Did Jesus Christ turn up to a stone building every Sunday and expect everyone to be there?  No, he wandered out, like the best of the peripatetic philosophers and holy men, and sought opportunities to help and heal people.

All priests should follow the example of Christ and find opportunities to use the radical and liberating theology of the New Testament to help people in times of crisis and doubt - not to lecture or try to evangelise.  It is with this spirit that I offer my chaplaincy to...
